Most of my students need support when writing. It is not possible to help all of them at the same time. This is where the use of a writing folder can be very helpful. In my classroom, each child has a plastic writing folder with their name on it.
Inside of each folder is a sheet with the letters/sounds on one side and commonly used words on the other. This sheet is laminated, hole punched, and clipped into the center of the folder.
Students can use the reference sheets to help them when you are working with another student. They can put their unfinished work in one folder pocket, and their finished work in the other.
